The first exclusive invitational SENSHI training camp kicked off

Albert Kraus and Andy Souwer train selected fighters in Varna, Bulgaria

This week, the first-ever invitational SENSHI training camp for selected fighters has begun at SENSHI Gym in Varna and will continue until October 18. By individual invitation, 32 participants from 13 countries — Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, North Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, France, and the Netherlands — are taking part, training with the best in their weight divisions.

The camp is led by world-renowned kickboxing legends Albert Kraus and Andy Souwer, who are sharing their experience and knowledge with the selected professional fighters competing in the 70–85 kg divisions. The training program focuses on improving fighting techniques, tactical skills, and mental endurance, as well as building discipline and mental strength.

Albert Kraus was the first-ever K-1 World MAX Champion (2002) and the first holder of the SUPERKOMBAT Middleweight Title. He is a four-time world champion in kickboxing and Muay Thai and currently serves on the KWU SENSHI Board of Directors.

Andy Souwer is a two-time K-1 World MAX Champion, four-time Shootboxing Champion, Showtime 70MAX World Champion, and Muay Thai titleholder. He is also a member of the KWU SENSHI Board of Directors.

All of us here right now are in the same weight category. And we’re training together as friends. Imagine a year from now, for example, you might have to fight each other. Weird, right? That’s life, that’s sports. Don’t think too much about it. Don’t kill each other right now, because you are thinking you might fight one another in the future. Just learn from each other. It is a really good advantage. In our time we didn’t have that opportunity. Take advantage of it – learn from one another, observe each other. Albert Kraus and I were the same – we’ve faced each other in the ring many times, but back then we didn’t have the chance that you have today – to train together,” said Andy Souwer to the participants at the end of the first training session.

This is the first training camp of its kind, bringing together only specially selected active fighters to train alongside the world kickboxing stars. In addition to the October camp, Kraus and Souwer will also lead the final SENSHI international training camp of the year, which will be held in Varna from December 4 to 7, 2025. The registration deadline is November 5, 2025.

The culmination of the event will be on December 6 at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, where SENSHI 29 will take place — a thrilling fight night featuring 11 spectacular bouts with a guaranteed rush of adrenaline.

Tickets for the fight gala are already on sale and can be purchased through Eventim.bg.
