National Cup “Bulgaria” for Children under 8 and 10 Held in Veliko Tarnovo
On October 11, the National Cup “Bulgaria” for children up to 8 and up to 10 years old took place at the Palace of Culture and Sports “Vasil Levski” in Veliko Tarnovo. The event was organized by the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) in cooperation with the hosts SC “Katana” – Veliko Tarnovo and with the kind support of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality.
A total of 160 registered competitors from 22 clubs, members of BKKF, participated in the Kyokushin Karate kumite discipline.
The event was officially opened by Georgi Nedev, Deputy Mayor for Sports of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, who congratulated the young karatekas on their dedication and wished them success on their Kyokushin path.
At the end of the competition day, SC “Yunak” – Ruse topped the team ranking by number of medals, achieving an outstanding performance with 12 medals from 17 competitors.

The next event in the BKKF calendar is the National Cup for Children under 12 and 14, which will take place on October 18 in Stara Zagora, with the kind support of Stara Zagora Municipality.
