Karim Mabrouk before SENSHI 29: “Mental strength is more important than physical!”
December arrives with a fresh dose of adrenaline and the final edition of the international fight gala for 2025 – SENSHI 29. The event will take place on December 6 at 7:00 PM EET /12:00 PM EST/ in the “Kongresna” Hall of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna. Fans of combat sports will witness world-class clashes – 22 elite fighters from different continents will go head-to-head in 11 spectacular super fights under the rules of KWU Full Contact and KWU SENSHI. Tickets are still available at Eventim.bg.
One of the most anticipated fights on the card will see Eduard Aleksanyan face Karim Mabrouk from Austria in the -90 kg division under the rules of KWU Full Contact. This won’t be Mabrouk’s first appearance on the Bulgarian ring – he already impressed the audience with a dominant victory over Massinissa Hamaili (Algeria) at SENSHI 23. During his preparation for SENSHI 29, he gave an interview to the media partner of the Professional League – Boec.bg.
Born in Austria, 32-year-old Mabrouk has 17 years of experience in combat sports and an impressive list of achievements – ISKA World Champion (2022), IPCC European Champion K-1 (2019), and ISKA Intercontinental Champion K-1 (2017). His love for martial arts began in childhood, inspired by the movie Rocky and by the legendary Muhammad Ali, who remains his biggest idol to this day.
His daily routine is fully dedicated to training – two intense sessions per day, combined with proper nutrition and active recovery. “I start my mornings with training, then rest, eat, and train again in the afternoon. This is my life. I believe that mental strength is more important than physical, so I work on both – I always try to stay positive and focused,” says Karim.
Among his favorite activities are partner training, running, and reading books – a habit that helps him maintain calm and balance. Before every fight, he has his own small ritual – a prayer and full concentration on the upcoming battle. “I always look only at my opponent – nothing else exists.”
His most memorable victory came during a difficult week in which he both passed his police exam and won his fight in the ring. “That was the moment I realized that hard work always pays off.”
Outside the ring, Karim loves watching movies and spending time with his family. For him, the support of the fans is essential: “We do it for them too – their energy pushes us forward.”

Now, all his focus is on SENSHI 29. He promises the audience an explosive battle filled with power and passion, guided by his clear motto – “I always move forward!”
Mabrouk looks to the future with confidence and determination: “I want to be the best in the world in my discipline and to build a happy family. In life, just like in the ring – you must believe, work hard, and never give up.”
