Eduard Aleksanyan Returns to the SENSHI 29 Ring in the Heavyweight Division
As the International Fight Gala Night SENSHI 29 approaches, the Bulgarian combat sports scene has another reason for pride – another national champion is stepping into the ring. This is Eduard Aleksanyan, the SENSHI European Champion in the -90 kg category since 2023. He also holds the prestigious WAKO PRO European K-1 Champion title from 2021, is a national kickboxing champion from 2018 and 2020, and a Savages kickboxing champion from 2019.
“I will be fighting in the heavyweight division. Every match is a challenge — this is a new category for me, and I hope to conquer it as well. We had a friendly sparring session with my opponent. It’s better that we’ve already seen each other,” the fighter said in an interview for the morning show Bulgaria Sutrin.
Despite his 15 months away from the ring, Aleksanyan is eager to return. “There is always a tactic. After months of rest, I feel more and more ready. We are focusing a lot on strength and endurance during training. The preparation is different from that in the lighter division,” he told Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to him, the knockout comes naturally during the match — he just needs to feel the right moment. Aleksanyan has an excellent record at SENSHI: 12 victories, 6 of which by knockout, in his appearances for the circuit. Tickets for the SENSHI 29 fight gala are available via Eventim.bg.
“I can outplay him with speed, a lot of power, and quickness. Mentally, I will put strong pressure on him. When the audience roars, it gives extra energy and motivates me. My coach constantly fires me up. I also get plenty of criticism from him, but when the match comes, he tells me exactly what I need to hear,” Aleksanyan explained.
