America’s Cup of KWU SENSHI: A Success in Mogi das Cruzes with Champions Qualified for the Gold Cup 2025
On November 16th, the city of Mogi das Cruzes hosted the America’s Cup of KWU SENSHI, a grand event that brought together competitors from six countries for fierce battles in kata and kumite disciplines. The tournament celebrated skill, determination, and sportsmanship, marking a milestone in international karate. Additionally, the event served as a qualifier for the prestigious KWU SENSHI Gold Cup 2025, set to take place in Montreal, Canada.
Event Highlights
The title of Yokozuna Male Champion was awarded to Eduardo Fanfa from Brazil, while Francisca Mazzoni from Argentina secured the Yokozuna Female Champion title. Both champions earned their spots in the Gold Cup next year.
Special awards were also distributed: Artur Arushanyan (Argentina) won the Best Technique award, Ian Coura Saito (Brazil) was recognized as Young Lion, and Daniel Patricio Palominos Castro (Chile) received the Shinjin Shô award. The Kanto Shô prize went to Luciano Heredia from Argentina.
