Albert Kraus in an Exclusive bTV Interview About His Journey in Combat Sports
Nine-time world champion and the first-ever K-1 Max World Champion, Albert Kraus, shared the story of his career and path in combat sports in an exclusive interview for the morning show “Predi Obed” on bTV. Known for his explosive nature in the ring and his well-deserved nickname “The Hurricane”, the Dutch kickboxing star continues to impress audiences and bring joy to fans worldwide.
Albert Kraus took his first steps in martial arts at the age of 14. Inspired by his older brother, who was training in boxing, Kraus decided to follow in his footsteps. A few years later, he chose to pursue kickboxing and quickly rose through the professional ranks. With over 120 fights in the ring and numerous championship titles in major sports organizations, Kraus proved himself as one of the top kickboxers of his generation worldwide.
Seven years ago, Albert Kraus fought his last professional match and then transitioned into coaching and mentoring. Today, his son, Gradus Kraus, is building his own name in the boxing scene. Albert sees great potential in the young athlete and recognizes his own drive reflected in his son’s eyes.
“What I always tell him—and not just him, but all of you—is this: stop when you no longer feel the fire inside you and lose the love for what you do. Only do what truly brings you joy!”
Over the past five years, Albert Kraus has frequently visited Bulgaria as a lead instructor at the international SENSHI combat sports camp. He is part of the team of legendary figures who serve as referees, judges, and commentators at the professional SENSHI fight nights.
Albert Kraus comes to Bulgaria to show young talents what it takes to become a world champion. “Our SENSHI family keeps growing every year. I’m truly happy to be part of the international camp—not just to win, but to share my knowledge and experience,” he said.
